Then Peter went down to the men which were sent unto him from Cornelius; and said, Behold, I am he whom ye seek: what is the cause wherefore ye are come?

So Peter went down to the men¹ and said, “Here am I, the one you are looking for. Why have you come?”

Then Peter went down to the men who were sent by Cornelius to him; and said, Lo! I am the person that ye ask for: what is the business on which ye are come hither?

Then Peter went down to the men who were sent unto him from Cornelius and said, Behold, I am he whom ye seek; what [is] the cause for which ye are come?
