Huldah’s Prophecy

(2 Kings 22:14–20)

So Hilkiah and those the king had designated went and spoke to Huldah1 the prophetess, the wife of Shallum son of Tokhath,2 the son of Hasrah,3 the keeper of the wardrobe. She lived in Jerusalem, in the Second District.4
  1. One Hebrew manuscript, Vulgate, and Syriac; most Hebrew manuscripts and those the king had told went to Huldah
  2. Tokhath is a variant of Tikvah; see 2 Kings 22:14.
  3. Hasrah is a variant of Harhas; see 2 Kings 22:14.
