Ezechias is assured of God’s help by Isaias the prophet. The king of the Assyrians still threatens and blasphemes. Ezechias prays, and God promises to protect Jerusalem. An angel destroys the army of the Assyrians, their king returns to Nineve, and is slain by his two sons.

And when king Hezekiah had heard this, he tore his garments, and he covered himself with sackcloth, and he entered the house of the Lord.
