Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall ye have a sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, an holy convocation.

“Speak to the Israelites and say, ‘On the first day of the seventh month you are to have a day of rest, a sacred assembly announced by trumpet blasts.¹

Speak unto the children of Israel, saying: In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall be a solemn rest unto you, a memorial proclaimed with the blast of horns, a holy convocation.

Speak unto the sons of Israel, saying, In the seventh month in the first [day] of the month, ye shall have a rest, an alarm for a reminder, and a holy convocation.

“Speak to the ⌞Israelites⌟,¹ saying, ‘In the seventh month, on the first day of the month, ⌞you must have⌟² a rest period, a remembrance of the trumpet blast, a holy assembly.
