בֵּרֹתַי

בֵּרוֺ֫תָה proper name, of a location near Hamath Ezek 47:16 (contracted from בְּאֵרוֺתָה ?), compare following; — hardly = Berytus (Beirût) with which form of name might agree see Steph. Byzant. and others in Movers^{Phen. ii. 1. 110 n.}; perhaps Bereit¹n near Baalbek, see Furrer^{ZPV viii. 34}.

בֵּרֹתַי proper name, of a location belonging to Hadadezer of Zoba 2Sam 8:8 perhaps = foregoing.

II. כּוּן proper name, of a location city of Hadarezer (מִטִּבְחַת) ׳וּמִכּוּן עָרֵי ה 1Chr 18:8, ᵐ5 ἐκ τῶν ἐκλεκτῶν πολέ(μ)ων (= בֵּרֹתַי 2Sam 8:8); = modern Kuna, near Bereitan (between Laodicea and Heliopolis), according to Furrer^{ZPV viii, 34,} see בֵּרוֺתָה above, and Thes.
