[חֶמְלָה] noun feminine compassion, mercy, of ׳י (strictly Infinitive form from חמל, see Ges^{«GKC:45»§ 45}, 1 b) — construct עָלָיו ׳בְּחֶמְלַת י Gen 19:16 (J), בְּאַהֲבָתוֺ וּבְחֶמְלָתוֺ גְאָלָם Isa 63:9.
