¶And John answered and said, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name; and we forbad him, because he followeth not with us.

And Iohn answered and saide, Master, we sawe one casting out deuils in thy Name, and we forbad him, because he followeth thee not with vs.

And John, answering, said, Master, we saw a man driving out evil spirits in your name, and we did not let him do it, because he was not one of us.

“Master,” said John, “we saw someone driving out demons in Your name, and we tried to stop him, because he does not accompany us.”

Then John addressing him said, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name, and we forbad him, because he followed not with us.

And John answered and said, Master, we saw one casting out demons in thy name; and we forbade him, because he does not follow with us.

And John answered and¹ said, “Master, we saw someone expelling demons in your name, and we tried to prevent him, because he does not follow in company with us.”

And answering, John said, Master, we saw someone casting out demons on Your name, and we forbade him because he does not follow with us.

And John answered and said, Master, we saw one casting out demons in Your name. And we prevented him, because he does not follow us.
