ὑπεροχή, ὑπεροχῆς, ἡ (from ὑπέροχος, and this from ὑπερέχω, which see), properly, elevation, pre-eminence, superiority (properly, in Polybius, Plutarch, others); metaphorically, excellence (Plato, Aristotle, Polybius, Josephus, Plutarch, others): τῶν ἐν ὑπεροχή, namely, ὄντες (R.
