φρυάσσω: 1 aorist 3 person plural ἐφρύαξαν; (everywhere in secular authors and also in Macc. as a deponent middle φρυάσσομαι (Winers Grammar, 24)); to neigh, stamp the ground, prance, snort; to be high-spirited: properly, of horses (Anthol. 5, 202, 4; Callimachus lav. Pallad. verse 2); of men, to take on lofty airs, behave arrogantly (2Ma 7:34; 3Ma 2:2, Anthol., Diodorus, Plutarch, others; (cf. Wetstein on Acts as below)); active for רָגַשׁ, to be tumultuous, to rage, Act 4:25 from Psa 2:1.
