I. קַו only in קַו לָקָו Isa 28:10 (twice in verse); Isa 28:13 (twice in verse), mimicry of Isaiah's words, perhaps senseless, see צַו p. 846.

קַוְקָו (or קַוְקַו, קָוְקָו) noun [masculine] might (?); — so read (according to most) for קַוקָֿו in phrase ׳גּוֺי ק Isa 18:2; Isa 18:7 i.e. a mighty nation (compare Arabic strength; see (on reduplication) Ges«GKC:123e»§ 123e); > RV 'meting out' conquered lands, literally 'of line, line' (11. קַו).
