Absalom’s policy and conspiracy. David is obliged to flee.
1 Then, after these things, Absalom obtained for himself chariots, and horsemen, and fifty men who went before him.

And he solicited the hearts of the men of Israel.

And when he was immolating victims, a very strong oath was sworn, and the people, hurrying together, joined with Absalom.
