ἀπωθέω, ἀπώθω: to thrust away, push away, repel; in the N. T. only the middle, present ἀπωθέομαι (ἀπωθοῦμαι); 1 aorist ἀπωσάμην (for which the better writings used ἀπεωσαμην, cf.
