רִיק noun [masculine] emptiness, vanity; — chiefly in adverb phrase לְרִיק Isa 46:4; Job 39:16 in vain (of labour without benefit), so ׳לָר Lev 26:16; Lev 26:20 (H), Isa 65:23 and as adverb accusative רִיק Isa 30:7; Ps 73:13, probably also Ps 2:1 (most = empty scheme as רֵיק 2) compare Ps 4:3 (read probably רֵיק); בְּדֵי דִיק Jer 51:58 = Hab 2:13. — Jer 51:34 see רֵיק
