ἀσθένεια, ἀσθενείας, ἡ (ἀσθενής) (from Herodotus down), want of strength, weakness, infirmity;

a. of Body; α. its native weakness and frailty: 1Co 15:43; 2Co 13:4. β. feebleness of health; sickness: Joh 5:5; Joh 11:4; Luk 13:11-12; Gal 4:13 (ἀσθένεια τῆς σαρκός); Heb 11:34; in plural: Mat 8:17; Luk 5:15; Luk 8:2; Act 28:9; 1Ti 5:23.
