Ἰσκαριώτης, and (Lachmann in Mat 10:4; T WH in Mar 14:10; L T Tr WH in Mar 3:19; Luk 6:16) Ἰσκαριώθ, i. e. קְרִיּות אִישׁ; see Ἰού?Dan 6:1-28 and Σίμων, 5. ἴσος (not ἴσος (yet often so Rst elz G Tr), which is Epic; cf. Bornemann, Scholia in Luc., p. 4; Göttling, Lehre vom Accent, p. 305; (Chandler § 406); Lipsius, Grammat.
