III. מַסָּה proper name, of a location where Israel tried ׳י in the wilderness, Exod 17:7 (JE), Deut 6:16; Deut 9:22; Ps 95:8 (all ᵐ5 (ὁ)πειρασμός), where Levi was tested Deut 33:8 (ᵐ5 πείρᾳ).
