1. plural סִירִים thorns, sign of desolation Isa 34:13, a barrier Hos 2:8, on Nah 1:10 see [ סָבַךְ]; תַּחַת הַסִּיר ׳כְּקוֺל הַסּ Eccl 7:6 as the sound of thorns (crackling as they burn) under the pot.
