No te preocupes del porvenir
1 1Echa tu pan sobre la faz de las aguas, que al cabo de mucho tiempo lo hallarás.

No conocemos el futuro. Una cosa que parece perdida, puede terminar con éxito. Al fin es Dios el que dirige todo y recompensa el trabajo. Otros lo aplican a la ilimitada generosidad en dar, que atrae seguras bendiciones tarde o temprano (véase Salmos 111, 9; II Corintios 9, 9; Proverbios 28, 27; Lucas 6, 38; 11, 41, etc.). Otros, a que toda empresa exige riesgos antes de dar fruto (versículo 4), por lo cual el riesgo debería ser repartido (versículo 2). Así Vaccari.
2 1Repártelo a siete y aun a ocho, pues no sabes los males que pueden venir sobre la tierra.

5 1Así como no sabes cuál es el camino del viento, ni cómo (se forman) los huesos en el seno de la madre, así tampoco conoces la obra de Dios, quien hace todas las cosas.

No es esto una amenaza irónica, como si a Dios le doliera vernos contentos, sino una bellísima prueba de la paternal bondad, con que Él nos habla y nos mira (véase Salmo 102, 13). De Él viene la alegría (versículo 10) y de Él también la sabiduría y el santo temor de ofenderlo con nuestros excesos (Proverbios 1, 7 y nota). 10 1Destierra de tu corazón las congojas, y aleja de tu carne el dolor. Pues la juventud y los albores de la vida son vanidad.
