17 1Guarda tus pies cuando entras en la casa de Dios. Acercarse (a Él) para escuchar vale más que los sacrificios de los necios, que no saben hacer más que el mal.

Precioso punto de meditación, sobre todo a la luz del Evangelio, donde el Padre mismo nos da como precepto el escuchar a Jesús (Mateo 17, 5), y donde Él nos enseña a ser como los niños (Mateo 18, 3), que antes de hablar escuchan, y nos ofrece las palabras del Padre (Juan 8, 26; 14, 10; 17, 18) como la verdad que santifica (Juan 17, 17). En algunas ciudades se practica la Hora Santa Bíblica, que busca, junto a la Presencia silenciosa de Cristo en la Eucaristía, el oírlo hablar, como lo oían sus discípulos (Mateo 13, 15-17) mediante la lectura de sus palabras (I Juan 1, 3 s.).
