a. offspring: τίνος, Act 17:28 f (from the poet Aratus); Rev 22:16.

b. family: Acts (Act 4:6, see ἀρχιερεύς, 2 at the end); (others refer this to c.);.

c. stock, race: Act 7:19; 2Co 11:26; Php 3:5; Gal 1:14; 1Pe 2:9; (Gen 11:6; Gen 17:14, etc. for עַם); nation (i. e. nationality or descent from a particular people): Mar 7:26; Act 4:36; Act 18:2; Act 18:24.

But since Gerasa was a city situated in the southern part of Peraea (Josephus, the passage cited, cf. 4, 9, 1), or in Arabia (Origen, Works, iv. 140, De la Rue edition), that cannot be referred to here; see Γαδαρηνός, and the next word.
