Es este un mal que difícilmente se cura, pues el hombre cree fácilmente que puede bastarse a sí mismo. Toda la Biblia enseña que tal es el peor de los males, puesto que la vida eterna consiste en el conocimiento de Dios, como lo dice expresamente Jesús (Juan 17, 3).
