δῶρον, δώρου, τό (from Homer down), the Sept. generally for קָרְבָּן, often also for מִנְחָה and שֹׁחַד; a gift, present: Eph 2:8; Rev 11:10; of gifts offered as an expression of honor, Mat 2:11; of sacrifices and other gifts offered to God, Mat 5:23; Mat 8:4; Mat 15:5; Mat 23:18; Mar 7:11; Heb 5:1; Heb 8:3; Heb 9:9; Heb 11:4; of money cast into the treasury for the purposes of the temple and for the support of the poor, Luk 21:1,(4).
