a. (in a physical sense) miserably: ἔχειν, to be ill, sick (see ἔχω, II. a.), Mat 4:24; Mat 8:16; Mat 9:12; Mat 14:35; (Mat 17:15 L Tr text WH text); Mark (Mar 1:32; Mar 1:34);; (Mar 6:55); Luk 5:31; Luk 7:2, etc.; πάσχειν, Mat 17:15 (R G T Tr marginal reading WH marginal reading); δαιμονίζεσθαι, Mat 15:22; κακούς κακῶς ἀπολέσει, Mat 21:41, on this combination of words with verbs of destroying, perishing, etc., which is frequent in Greek writings also, cf.
