Hiph`il Perfect 3 masculine singular הִקְשִׁיב Jer 23:18; Ps 66:19, etc.; Imperfect 3 masculine singular יַקְשִׁב Isa 42:23, etc.; Imperative masculine singular הַקְשֵׁב Job 33:21, especially הַקְשִׁ֫יבָה Ps 5:3 +, etc.; Infinitive construct הַקְשִׁיב 1Sam 15:22 +; Participle מַקְשִׁיב Prov 1:24 +, plural מַקְשִׁיבִים Song 8:13 — give attention (sometimes + שָׁמַע); absolute Hos 5:1; 1Sam 15:22; Isa 10:30; Isa 28:23; Isa 34:1; Isa 49:1; Mic 1:2 + 12 t.; + אֶל person Jer 18:19; Zech 1:4; Isa 51:4 (|| הֶאֱזִינוּ), לְ person Ps 55:3 + אֶל of thing Jer 18:18; Neh 9:34; Ps 142:7, עַל of thing Jer 6:19; Prov 17:4; Prov 29:12, ל of thing Jer 6:17; Isa 48:18; Prov 4:20; Prov 5:1; Prov 7:24; Ps 5:3; Song 8:13, ב of thing Ps 66:19; Ps 86:6 also with accusative of thing Jer 23:18; Job 13:6; Ps 17:1; Ps 61:2 accusative of congnate meaning with verb Isa 21:7 apparently = cause to attend, with accusative אָזְנֶ֑ךָ Prov 2:2 (+ ל of thing), Ps 10:17, but usage would be so late and rare that אָזֱנ֑ךָ is probably subj. thing (Ges^{«GKC:144m»§ 144m} Da^{Synt. § 109. R. 3}).
