II. [דָּמַם] verb wail (?; compare Assyrian damâmu, groan, wail, lament, DlBaer's Ezech xi; pr 64) — only Qal Imperative דֹּ֫מּוּ ישְׁבֵי אִי Isa 23:2 wail, ye coast dwellers (compare Dll.c.), || הֵילִילוּ vIsa 23:1, & הֵילִילוּ ישְׁבֵי אִי vIsa 23:6 most, however, assign this to I. דמם q. v. (3).
