Vemos en el v. 2 que a esta séptima y última señal ha precedido la manifestación plena del Anticristo (cap. 13), pues figuran aquí los que escaparon de él. También este cántico llamado del Cordero parece inspirarse en el que entonó Moisés poco antes de morir (cf. Dt. 32) para celebrar las bondades de Dios con Israel. El v. 4 en Jr. 10, 7; Ex. 9, 16; Mi. 7, 15-17” (Gelin). Cf. 14, 7; Sal. 64, 3; 85, 9. Como observamos en la introducción, el Apocalipsis tiene, en sus 404 versículos, 518 citas del Antiguo Testamento, y llama la atención de los expositores el hecho de que, no obstante la coincidencia de la escatología apocalíptica con la del Evangelio y las Epístolas, y haber escrito Juan 30 años más tarde, no haya referencias expresas al Nuevo Testamento ni a las instituciones eclesiásticas nacidas de él, ni a los presbíteros, obispos o diáconos de la Iglesia, cosa que confirma sin duda su carácter estrictamente escatológico. Se han hecho manifiestos: es decir, ahora son visibles y evidentes.
