μόνος, μόνη, μόνον, the Sept. chiefly for לְבַד (from Homer down);

1. an adjective, alone (without a companion);

a. with verbs: εἶναι, ἑυρίσκεσθαι, καταλείπεσθαι, etc., Mat 14:23; Mar 6:47; Luk 9:36; Joh 8:9; 1Th 3:1; added to the pronouns ἐγώ, αὐτός, οὐ, etc.: Mat 18:15; Mar 9:2; Luk 24:18; Rom 11:3; Rom 16:4, etc.
