Es, en efecto, propio del hombre el alegrarse de antemano con el pensamiento de los bienes que espera. De ahí que esta esperanza supone el amor, pues nadie puede desear el advenimiento de aquello que no ama.

12 A ellos fue revelado que no para sí mismos sino para vosotros, administraban estas cosas que ahora os han sido anunciadas por los predicadores del Evangelio, en virtud del Espíritu Santo enviado del cielo; cosas que los mismos ángeles desean penetrar1.
