a. in pain, especially childbirth Isa 26:17; Isa 45:10 ׳מַהתֿח (|| מהתֿוליד; metaphor, of sea Isa 23:4 (|| ילד); Israel Isa 26:18 (|| חרה), Isa 54:1 (|| ילד); Zion Isa 66:7; Isa 66:8 (|| id.), Mic 4:10 (|| גֹּ֫חִי, simile כיולדה; compare see 9), Jer 4:31.
