Chapter 22
Paul declares to the people the history of his conversion. He escapes scourging by claiming the privilege of a Roman citizen.
1 “Noble brothers and fathers, listen to the explanation that I now give to you.”

For this man is a Roman citizen.”

Are you a Roman?” So he said, “Yes.”

The tribune was similarly afraid, after he realized that he was a Roman citizen, for he had bound him.
