Chapter 2
1 I exhort therefore, first of all, that supplications, prayers, intercessions, thanksgivings be made for all men;

4 who desires that all men should be saved and come to [the] knowledge of [the] truth.

6 who gave himself a ransom for all, the testimony [to be rendered] in its own times;

11 Let a woman learn in quietness in all subjection;
ἡσυχίᾳhēsuchiaquietnessG2271N-DSF μανθανέτωmanthanetōshould learnG3129V-PAM-3S ὑποταγῇ·hupotagēasubmissiveness;G5292N-DSF 12 but I do not suffer a woman to teach nor to exercise authority over man, but to be in quietness;
διδάσκεινdidaskeinTo teachG1321V-PAN γυναικὶgunaikia womanG1135GN-DSF ἐπιτρέπωepitrepōI do permitG2010V-PAI-1S αὐθεντεῖνauthenteinto use authority overG0831V-PAN εἶναιeinaito beG1511V-PAN ἡσυχίᾳ.hēsuchiaquietness.G2271N-DSF 13 for Adam was formed first, then Eve:
ἐπλάσθη,eplasthēwas formed,G4111V-API-3S 14 and Adam was not deceived; but the woman, having been deceived, was in transgression.
ἠπατήθη,ēpatēthēwas deceived,G0538V-API-3S ἐξαπατηθεῖσαexapatētheisahaving been deceivedG1818V-APP-NSF παραβάσειparabaseitransgressionG3847N-DSF γέγονεν·gegonenhas come;G1096V-2RAI-3S 15 But she shall be preserved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and love and holiness with discretion.
