Chapter 3
1 Now in those days John the Baptist came preaching in the wilderness of Judea,

For the kingdom of Heaven has drawn near.

Make His paths straight!" Isa. 40:3

And his food was locusts and wild honey.

Who warned you to flee from the wrath to come?

He will baptize you in the Holy Spirit and fire,

But He will burn up the chaff with fire that cannot be put out.

Then he allowed Him.

And, behold! The heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of God coming down as a dove, and coming upon Him.

A voice out of the heaven saying, This is My Son, the Beloved, in whom I have found delight. Psa. 2:7; Gen. 22:2; Isa. 42:1
