Chapter 5
1 Being therefore justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ;

We rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

ὑπομονὴhupomonēperseveranceG5281N-NSF δοκιμήν,dokimēncharacter,G1382N-ASF δοκιμὴdokimēcharacterG1382N-NSF ἐλπίδα·elpidahope;G1680N-ASF 5 and hope does not disappoint us, because God's love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

Yet perhaps for a good person someone might dare to die.

8 But God commends his own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

δικαιωθέντεςdikaiōthenteshaving been justifiedG1344V-APP-NPM αὐτοῦautouof HimG0846P-GSM σωθησόμεθαsōthēsomethawe will be savedG4982V-FPI-1P ὀργῆς.¶orgēswrath!G3709N-GSF 10 For if, while we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we will be saved by his life.

For if by the trespass of the one the many died, much more did the grace of God, and the gift by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, abound to the many.
