Chapter 5
1 Having, therefore, been declared righteous by faith, let us have, peace, towards God, through our Lord Jesus Christ,—

ὑπομονὴhupomonēperseveranceG5281N-NSF δοκιμήν,dokimēncharacter,G1382N-ASF δοκιμὴdokimēcharacterG1382N-NSF ἐλπίδα·elpidahope;G1680N-ASF 5 And, our hope, putteth not to shame. Because, the love of God, hath been poured out in our hearts, through the Holy Spirit that hath been given unto us:

δικαίουdikaioua righteous [man]G1342A-GSM ἀποθανεῖται,apothaneitaiwill die,G0599V-FDI-3S ὑπὲρhuperon behalf ofG5228PREP ἀγαθοῦagathougood [man]G0018A-GSM τολμᾷtolmawould dareG5111V-PAI-3S ἀποθανεῖν·apothaneinto die;G0599V-2AAN 8 But God commendeth his own love unto us in that—we as yet being sinners, Christ in our behalf died.

δικαιωθέντεςdikaiōthenteshaving been justifiedG1344V-APP-NPM αὐτοῦautouof HimG0846P-GSM σωθησόμεθαsōthēsomethawe will be savedG4982V-FPI-1P ὀργῆς.¶orgēswrath!G3709N-GSF 10 For, if being enemies we were reconciled unto God through the death of his Son, much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved by his life.
