Chapter 22
1 And Jesus answered and spake unto them again by parables, and said,

ὡμοιώθηhōmoiōthēHas become likeG3666V-API-3S βασιλείαbasileiakingdomG0932N-NSF οὐρανῶνouranōnheavensG3772N-GPM ἀνθρώπῳanthrōpōto a manG0444N-DSM βασιλεῖbasileia kingG0935N-DSM ἐποίησενepoiēsenmadeG4160GV-AAI-3S γάμουςgamousa wedding feastG1062N-APM αὐτοῦ.autouof him.G0846P-GSM 3 And sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding: and they would not come.

λοιποὶloipoithe restG3062A-NPM κρατήσαντεςkratēsanteshaving laid hold ofG2902V-AAP-NPM δούλουςdoulousservantsG1401N-APM αὐτοῦautouof himG0846P-GSM ὕβρισανhubrisanmistreatedG5195V-AAI-3P ἀπέκτειναν.apekteinankilled [them].G0615V-AAI-3P 7 But when the king heard thereof, he was wroth: and he sent forth his armies, and destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city.

πορεύεσθεporeuesthedo goG4198V-PNM-2P διεξόδουςdiexodousthoroughfaresG1327N-APF ὁδῶν,hodōnhighways,G3598N-GPF ὅσουςhosousas many asG3745K-APM εὕρητε,heurēteyou shall find,G2147V-2AAS-2P καλέσατεkalesatedo inviteG2564GV-AAM-2P γάμους.gamouswedding feast.G1062N-APM 10 So those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all as many as they found, both bad and good: and the wedding was furnished with guests.

And he was speechless.

Is it lawful to give tribute unto Cesar, or not?

And they brought unto him a penny.

Then saith he unto them, Render therefore unto Cesar the things which are Cesar’s; and unto God the things that are God’s.

God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.

ἐπηρώτησενepērōtēsenquestioned [Him]G1905V-AAI-3S νομικὸςnomikosa lawyerG3544A-NSM πειράζωνpeirazōntestingG3985HV-PAP-NSM λέγων·legōnsaying:G3004GV-PAP-NSM 36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
διδάσκαλε,didaskaleTeacher,G1320N-VSM-T ἐντολὴentolēcommandmentG1785N-NSF μεγάληmegalē[is the] greatestG3173A-NSF 37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
