1 Then Pilate took Jesus and flogged Him .

And they gave Him blows with the palm.

And he said to them, Behold, the Man!

Crucify! Pilate said to them, You take him and crucify him , for I do not find one crime in him!

Do you not know that I have authority to crucify you, and I have authority to release you?

Because of this, the one delivering Me to you has a greater sin.

But the Jews cried out, saying, If you release this one, you are not a friend of Caesar. Everyone making himself a king speaks against Caesar.

And having been written, it was: JESUS THE NAZARENE, THE KING OF THE JEWS.
