(rare); Late Hebrew עָבַד serve, performs acts of worship (with accusative of congnate meaning with verb), and derivatives; Arabic worship, obey (God); compare WeSkizzen iii. 165; Heid. 141, II. enslave; slave, worshiper; Sabean עבד id.
