Chapter 6
1 Take heed that you do not do your merciful deeds before men, to be seen by them. Otherwise you have no reward with your Father in Heaven.

Truly I say to you, They have their reward.

If therefore the light that is in you is darkness, how great is that darkness!

Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow. They do not toil, nor do they spin,
