1 And he went into Jericho, and when he was going through it,

εἶπενeipenHe saidG2036V-2AAI-3S τούτῳ·toutōto this one;G3778D-DSM σὺsuyou yourselfG4771P-2NS γίνουginoudo beG1096V-PNM-2S πόλεων.¶poleōncities.G4172N-GPF 20 And another came, saying, Lord, here is your pound, which I put away in a cloth;
ἕτεροςheterosanotherG2087A-NSM ἦλθενēlthencameG2064V-2AAI-3S λέγων·legōnsaying;G3004GV-PAP-NSM εἶχονeichonI was keepingG2192V-IAI-1S ἀποκειμένηνapokeimenēnlyingG0606V-PNP-ASF σουδαρίῳ·soudariōa piece of cloth;G4676N-DSN 21 Because I was in fear of you, for you are a hard man: you take up what you have not put down, and get in grain where you have not put seed.

You had knowledge that I am a hard man, taking up what I have not put down and getting in grain where I have not put seed;

εἶπανeipanthey saidG2036V-2AAI-3P αὐτῷ·autōto him;G0846P-DSM κύριε,kurieMaster,G2962HN-VSM-T ἔχειecheihe hasG2192V-PAI-3S μνᾶς.mnasminas.G3414N-APF 26 And I say to you that to everyone who has, more will be given, but from him who has not, even what he has will be taken away.

εἶπαν·eipanthey said:G2036V-2AAI-3P αὐτοῦautouof itG0846P-GSM χρείανchreianneedG5532N-ASF ἔχει.echeihas.G2192V-PAI-3S 35 And they took him to Jesus, and they put their clothing on the ass, and Jesus got on to him.

πορευομένουporeuomenouWhen is goingG4198V-PNP-GSM ὑπεστρώννυονhupestrōnnuonthey were spreadingG5291V-IAI-3P ἱμάτιαhimatiagarmentsG2440N-APN αὐτῶνautōnof themG0846P-GPM 37 And when he came near the foot of the Mountain of Olives, all the disciples with loud voices gave praise to God with joy, because of all the great works which they had seen;

ἤγγισεν,ēngisenHe drew near,G1448V-AAI-3S ἰδὼνidōnhaving seenG1492HV-2AAP-NSM ἔκλαυσενeklausenHe weptG2799V-AAI-3S 42 Saying, If you, even you, had knowledge today, of the things which give peace! but you are not able to see them.
