Chapter 14
1 At that time Herod the tetrarch heard of the fame of Jesus,

λυπηθεὶςlupētheisbeing grievedG3076V-APP-NSM βασιλεὺςbasileuskingG0935N-NSM διὰdiaon account ofG1223PREP ὅρκουςhorkousoathsG3727N-APM συνανακειμένουςsunanakeimenousreclining with [him]G4873V-PNP-APM ἐκέλευσενekeleusenhe commanded [it]G2753V-AAI-3S δοθῆναι.dothēnaito be given.G1325V-APN 10 And he sent and beheaded John in the prison;

ἠνέχθηēnechthēwas broughtG5342V-API-3S κεφαλὴkephalēheadG2776N-NSF αὐτοῦautouof himG0846P-GSM πίνακιpinakia platterG4094N-DSM ἐδόθηedothēwas givenG1325V-API-3S κορασίῳ,korasiōgirl,G2877N-DSN ἤνεγκενēnegkenshe brought [it]G5342V-AAI-3S μητρὶmētrimotherG3384N-DSF αὐτῆς.¶autēsof her.G0846P-GSF 12 And his disciples came and took the body and buried it, and came and brought word to Jesus.

And the crowds having heard [of it] followed him on foot from the cities.

λέγουσινlegousinthey sayG3004GV-PAI-3P αὐτῷ·autōto Him;G0846P-DSM ἔχομενechomenwe haveG2192V-PAI-1P ἄρτουςartousloavesG0740N-APM ἰχθύας.ichthuasfish.G2486N-APM 18 And he said, Bring them here to me.
εἶπεν·eipenHe said;G2036V-2AAI-3S φέρετέpheretedo bringG5342V-PAM-2P αὐτούς.autousthem.G0846P-APM 19 And having commanded the crowds to recline upon the grass, having taken the five loaves and the two fishes, he looked up to heaven, and blessed: and having broken the loaves, he gave [them] to the disciples, and the disciples [gave them] to the crowds.

And when even was come, he was alone there,

And they cried out through fear.

And Peter, having descended from the ship, walked upon the waters to go to Jesus.
εἶπεν·eipenHe said;G2036V-2AAI-3S ἐλθέ.elthedo come.G2064V-2AAM-2S καταβὰςkatabashaving descendedG2597V-2AAP-NSM πλοίουploiouboatG4143N-GSN ΠέτροςPetrosPeterG4074GN-NSM-P περιεπάτησενperiepatēsenwalkedG4043V-AAI-3S ὕδαταhudatawaterG5204N-APN ἦλθενēlthencameG2064V-2AAI-3S Ἰησοῦν.IēsounJesus.G2424GN-ASM-P 30 But seeing the wind strong he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried out, saying, Lord, save me.

ἀναβάντωνanabantōnwhen were climbingG0305V-2AAP-GPM πλοῖονploionboatG4143N-ASN ἐκόπασενekopasenceasedG2869V-AAI-3S ἄνεμος.anemoswind.G0417N-NSM 33 But those in the ship came and did homage to him, saying, Truly thou art1 God's Son.

34 And having crossed over they came to the land of Gennesaret.
διαπεράσαντεςdiaperasanteshaving crossed overG1276V-AAP-NPM ἦλθονēlthonthey cameG2064V-2AAI-3P Γεννησαρέτ.GennēsaretGennesaret.G1082N-ASF-L 35 And when the men of that place recognised him, they sent to that whole country around, and they brought to him all that were ill,
ἐπιγνόντεςepignonteshaving recognizedG1921V-2AAP-NPM τόπουtopouplaceG5117N-GSM ἐκείνουekeinouthat oneG1565D-GSM ἀπέστειλανapesteilansentG0649V-AAI-3P περίχωρονperichōronsurrounding regionG4066N-ASF ἐκείνηνekeinēnthatG1565D-ASF προσήνεγκανprosēnegkanbroughtG4374V-AAI-3P πάνταςpantasallG3956A-APM ἔχονταςechontasbeingG2192V-PAP-APM 36 and besought him that they might only touch the hem of his garment; and as many as touched were made thoroughly well.
