Chapter 26
1 And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended all these words, he said to his disciples:

For she hath wrought a good work upon me.

But they appointed him thirty pieces of silver.

With thee I make the pasch with my disciples.

λυπούμενοιlupoumenoibeing grievedG3076V-PPP-NPM σφόδραsphodraexceedinglyG4970ADV ἤρξαντοērxantothey beganG0757V-ADI-3P ἕκαστοςhekastoseachG1538A-NSM αὐτῶν·autōnof them:G0846P-GPM μήτιmētisurely not everG3385PRT-N εἰμι,eimiis it,G1510V-PAI-1S κύριε;¶kurieLord?G2962GN-VSM-T 23 But he answering said: He that dippeth his hand with me in the dish, he shall betray me.

But woe to that man by whom the Son of man shall be betrayed. It were better for him, if that man had not been born.

He saith to him: Thou hast said it.

This is my body.

For it is written: I will strike the shepherd: and the sheep of the flock shall be dispersed.

ἐγερθῆναίegerthēnaito raiseG1453V-APN προάξωproaxōI will go beforeG4254V-FAI-1S Γαλιλαίαν.¶GalilaianGalilee.G1056GN-ASF-L 33 And Peter answering, said to him: Although all shall be scandalized in thee, I will never be scandalized.

And in like manner said all the disciples.

Stay you here and watch with me.

Nevertheless, not as I will but as thou wilt.

And he saith to Peter: What? Could you not watch one hour with me?

The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.
