Chapter 20
1 For the kingdom of heaven is like a householder, who went out early in the morning to hire laborers for his vineyard.

And they went.

He saith to them, Go ye also into the vineyard.

λαβόντεςlabontesHaving receivedG2983V-2AAP-NPM ἐγόγγυζονegonguzonthey were grumblingG1111V-IAI-3P οἰκοδεσπότουoikodespotoumaster of the houseG3617N-GSM 12 saying, These last have worked but one hour, and thou hast made them equal to us, who have borne the burden and heat of the day.

But I will give to this last even as to thee.

And as

She saith to him, Grant that these my two sons may sit, one on thy right hand, and one on thy left, in thy kingdom.

Can ye drink the cup which I am to drink? They say to him, We can.

ἀκούσαντεςakousanteshaving heard [this]G0191V-AAP-NPM ἠγανάκτησανēganaktēsanwere indignantG0023V-AAI-3P ἀδελφῶν.¶adelphōnbrothers.G0080N-GPM 25 But Jesus called them to him, and said, Ye know that the rulers of the nations lord it over them, and their great men exercise a strict authority over them.
ἸησοῦςIēsousJesusG2424GN-NSM-P προσκαλεσάμενοςproskalesamenoshaving called to [him]G4341V-ADP-NSM αὐτοὺςautousthemG0846P-APM εἶπεν·eipensaid;G2036V-2AAI-3S οἴδατεoidateYou knowG6063V-RAI-2P ἄρχοντεςarchontesrulersG0758N-NPM ἐθνῶνethnōnGentilesG1484N-GPN κατακυριεύουσινkatakurieuousinexercise lordship overG2634V-PAI-3P αὐτῶν,autōnthem,G0846P-GPN μεγάλοιmegaloigreat onesG3173A-NPM κατεξουσιάζουσινkatexousiazousinexercise authority overG2715V-PAI-3P αὐτῶν.autōnthem.G0846P-GPN 26 Not so shall it be among you; but whoever desireth to become great among you, will be your minister;
ἔσταιestaiwill it beG1510V-FDI-3S θέλῃthelēshall wishG2309V-PAS-3S μέγαςmegasgreatG3173A-NSM γενέσθαι,genesthaito become,G1096V-2ADN ἔσταιestaihe will beG1510V-FDI-3S διάκονος·diakonosservant;G1249N-NSM 27 and whoever desireth to be first among you, will be your servant;
θέλῃthelēshall wishG2309V-PAS-3S εἶναιeinaito beG1511V-PAN πρῶτος,prōtosfirst,G4413GA-NSM ἔσταιestaihe will beG1510V-FDI-3S δοῦλος·doulosslave;G1401N-NSM 28 even as the Son of man came not to be served, but to serve, and to give his life a ransom for many.
ὥσπερhōspereven asG5618CONJ ἀνθρώπουanthrōpouof ManG0444N-GSM-T ἦλθενēlthencameG2064V-2AAI-3S διακονηθῆναιdiakonēthēnaito be servedG1247V-APN διακονῆσαιdiakonēsaito serveG1247V-AAN δοῦναιdounaito giveG1325V-2AAN αὐτοῦautouof HimG0846P-GSM λύτρονlutron[as] a ransomG3083N-ASN πολλῶν.¶pollōnmany.G4183A-GPM 29 And as they were going out of Jericho, a great multitude followed him.
ἐκπορευομένωνekporeuomenōnwhen were going outG1607V-PNP-GPM ἸεριχὼIerichōJerichoG2410N-GSF-L ἠκολούθησενēkolouthēsenfollowedG0190V-AAI-3S ὄχλοςochlosa crowdG3793N-NSM πολύς.polusgreat.G4183A-NSM 30 And lo! two blind men, who were sitting by the way-side, when they heard that Jesus was passing by, cried out, saying, Have pity on us, Son of David!

But they cried out the more, saying, Lord, have pity on us, Son of David!

λέγουσινlegousinThey sayG3004GV-PAI-3P αὐτῷ·autōto Him;G0846P-DSM ἀνοιγῶσινanoigōsinmay be openedG0455V-2APS-3P ὀφθαλμοὶophthalmoieyesG3788N-NPM ἡμῶν.hēmōnof us.G3165P-1GP 34 Then Jesus, moved with compassion, touched their eyes; and they immediately received sight, and followed him.
