Chapter 20
1 And on one of those days, as He taught the people in the temple and proclaimed the gospel, it happened that the chief priests and the scribes along with the elders came on Him.

Or who is he who gave you this authority?

βάπτισμαbaptismabaptismG0908N-NSN ἸωάννουIōannouof JohnG2491GN-GSM-P οὐρανοῦouranouheavenG3772N-GSM ἀνθρώπων;anthrōpōnmen?G0444N-GPM 5 And they reasoned within themselves, saying, If we shall say, From Heaven, he will say, Why then did you not believe him?

And he went into a far country for a long time.

But the vinedressers beat him and sent him away empty.

And they also beat him and treated him shamefully, and sent him away empty.

And they also wounded him and cast him out.

I will send my beloved son. It may be that they will respect him when they see him.

Come, let us kill him so that the inheritance may be ours.

What then shall the lord of the vineyard do to them?

And when they heard this, they said, Let it not be!

And they feared the people, for they perceived that He had spoken this parable against them.

Whose image and inscription does it have? They answered and said, Caesar's.

And they marveled at His answer and were silent.

And they asked Him,

And the first took a wife and died without children.

ὕστερονhusteronFinallyG5306A-ASN-C πάντωνpantōnof allG3956A-GPN ἀπέθανεν.apethanendied.G0599V-2AAI-3S 33 Therefore in the resurrection whose wife shall she be? For the seven had her as a wife.

καταξιωθέντεςkataxiōthenteshaving been considered worthyG2661V-APP-NPM ἐκείνουekeinouthat [one]G1565D-GSM τυχεῖνtucheinto obtainG5177V-2AAN ἀναστάσεωςanastaseōsresurrectionG0386N-GSF νεκρῶνnekrōn[the] deadG3498A-GPM οὔτεouteneitherG3777CONJ-N γαμοῦσινgamousinmarryG1060V-PAI-3P γαμίζονται·gamizontaiare given in marriage;G1061V-PPI-3P 36 Nor can they die any more, for they are equal to the angels, and are the sons of God, being the sons of the resurrection.

For all live to Him.
