1 And it happened afterwards, He traveled in every city and village, proclaiming and announcing the gospel of the kingdom of God. And the Twelve were with Him,

And when He had said these things, He cried, He who has ears to hear, let him hear.

But to others I speak in parables, so that seeing they might not see and hearing they might not understand.

And these have no root, who for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away.

For whoever has, to him shall be given; and whoever has not, from him shall be taken even that which he seems to have.

And they could not come near Him because of the crowd.

And He said to them, Let us go over to the other side of the lake. And they put out to sea.

And a storm of wind came onto the lake. And they were being filled with water and were in jeopardy.

Then being aroused, He rebuked the wind and the raging of the water. And they ceased, and there was a calm.

And being afraid, they marveled, saying to one another, Who then is this One? For He commands even the winds and water, and they obey Him!

For oftentimes it had seized him. And he had been kept bound in chains and in fetters, and he broke the bands and was driven into the deserted places by the demons.)

And he said, Legion; because many demons had entered into him.

παρεκάλουνparekalounthey were beggingG3870V-IAI-3P ἐπιτάξῃepitaxēhe would commandG2004V-AAS-3S αὐτοῖςautoisto themG0846P-DPN ἄβυσσονabussonabyssG0012N-ASF ἀπελθεῖν.apeltheinto go away.G0565V-2AAN 32 And there was there a herd of many pigs feeding on the mountain. And they begged Him that He would allow them to enter into them. And He allowed them.

And the herd ran violently down a steep place into the lake and were choked.

And leaving, they reported to the city and to the farms.
