Chapter 11
1 God has not cast off all Israel. 7 Some were elected, though the rest were hardened. 16 There is hope of their conversion. 18 The Gentiles may not insult upon them: 26 For there is a promise of their salvation. 33 God’s judgements are unsearchable.
1 I say then, Has God cast away his people? God forbid. For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin.

Know you not what the scripture says of Elijah? how he makes intercession to God against Israel saying,

I have reserved to myself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to the image of Baal.

Israel has not obtained that which he seeks for; but the election has obtained it, and the rest were blinded.

God forbid: but rather through their fall salvation is come to the Gentiles, for to provoke them to jealousy.

But if you boast, you bore not the root, but the root you.

συνέκλεισενsunekleisenHas bound upG4788V-AAI-3S πάνταςpantasallG3956A-APM ἀπείθειανapeitheiandisobedienceG0543N-ASF πάνταςpantasallG3956A-APM ἐλεήσῃ.¶eleēsēHe may show mercy to.G1653V-AAS-3S 33 O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!
