Chapter 24

1 On the first day of the week,1 very early in the morning, the women came to the tomb, bringing the spices they had prepared.

13 That same day two of them were going to a village called Emmaus, about seven miles1 from Jerusalem.

14 They were talking with each other about everything that had happened.

They were at the tomb early this morning,

But Him they did not see.”

There they found the Eleven and those with them, gathered together

36 While they were describing these events, Jesus Himself stood among them and said, “Peace be with you.”
