Chapter 22
1 AND Jesus continuing his discourse, spake again to them in parables, saying,

ἀμελήσαντεςamelēsanteshaving paid no attentionG0272V-AAP-NPM ἀπῆλθον,apēlthonthey went away,G0565V-2AAI-3P ὃςhosthat [one]G3739R-NSM ἴδιονidion[his] ownG2398A-ASM ὃςhosthat [one]G3739R-NSM ἐμπορίανemporianbusinessG1711N-ASF αὐτοῦ·autouof him;G0846P-GSM 6 And the rest seizing his servants, insulted and slew them.
λοιποὶloipoithe restG3062A-NPM κρατήσαντεςkratēsanteshaving laid hold ofG2902V-AAP-NPM δούλουςdoulousservantsG1401N-APM αὐτοῦautouof himG0846P-GSM ὕβρισανhubrisanmistreatedG5195V-AAI-3P ἀπέκτειναν.apekteinankilled [them].G0615V-AAI-3P 7 Then the king, when he heard it, was incensed: and sending out his armies, destroyed these murderers, and burnt down their city.

πορεύεσθεporeuesthedo goG4198V-PNM-2P διεξόδουςdiexodousthoroughfaresG1327N-APF ὁδῶν,hodōnhighways,G3598N-GPF ὅσουςhosousas many asG3745K-APM εὕρητε,heurēteyou shall find,G2147V-2AAS-2P καλέσατεkalesatedo inviteG2564GV-AAM-2P γάμους.gamouswedding feast.G1062N-APM 10 So these servants going out into the roads, collected all, as many as they found, both bad and good; and the wedding feast was fully furnished with guests.

And he was speechless.

Is it lawful to pay tribute to Caesar, or not?

Then saith he to them, Render therefore to Caesar, the things which are Caesar’s; and to God, the things which are God’s.

ἐπηρώτησενepērōtēsenquestioned [Him]G1905V-AAI-3S νομικὸςnomikosa lawyerG3544A-NSM πειράζωνpeirazōntestingG3985HV-PAP-NSM λέγων·legōnsaying:G3004GV-PAP-NSM 36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
διδάσκαλε,didaskaleTeacher,G1320N-VSM-T ἐντολὴentolēcommandmentG1785N-NSF μεγάληmegalē[is the] greatestG3173A-NSF 37 Then Jesus said to him, “Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.”

ἐστὶνestinisG1510V-PAI-3S μεγάληmegalēgreatG3173A-NSF ἐντολή.entolēcommandment.G1785N-NSF 39 And the second is like to it, “Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.”
